There are many different stories about how and when buffalo sauce was invented. Regardless of its origins, the spicy sauce has become a staple in sports bars across North America.

Ingredients
- ½ cup Frank’s hot sauce
- ½ cup Mirage margarine
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
- Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan, and over low heat bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat, stirring every few minutes until cool.
- The buffalo sauce is now ready to be used for dipping, tossing, or glazing your favourite chicken wings.
Chef Notes
- If you’re into a more fancy and less traditional sauce, try adding one clove of finely minced garlic, a generous amount of freshly ground pepper, and three tablespoons of honey, just as you take the sauce off the heat to cool.
